Through the ongoing collective efforts of dedicated teachers, coaches, administrators, and central office team members, Peace Wapiti School Division has developed some outstanding resources to support their collaborative response model efforts across the district. It is important to recognize that these frameworks plan to be continually refined, emphasizing a “draft-always” nature to their ongoing development.
The Student First Framework for Learning Overview describes the four tier process within their district, complete with checklists for movement between each tier of support. The back of the guide highlights the teams that become involved at each tier to support students, as well as a guide for exemplary practices for collaborative team meetings, including the role of leaders in the process and a prompting guide for questions to be asking collectively.
Division I and II Guide focuses upon supports specifically related to General Accommodations, Literacy, Numeracy and Wellness.
PWSD – CRM Supports (Div 3-4) focuses upon supports specifically related to Academic, Executive Functioning Skills and Social/Emotional.
Thanks to the team at Peace Wapiti for sharing these guides that have developed through their continued system-level development and ongoing refinement of a collaborative response model in their schools.
