This session will explore and provide an understanding of how schools can infuse layered team structures to systematically identify and support at-risk learners from the school to district levels. Join Lorna as she shares a practical structure for schools to support teachers and provide timely and responsive supports for students. Numerous examples will be shared from a variety of school contexts.

About the Facilitator
Lorna Hewson is an educator with two decades of experience in schools and is currently a Lead Learner with Jigsaw Learning. Receiving her BEd degree from the University of Calgary, she completed her MEd degree from the University of Lethbridge in Educational Leadership. Prior to her current position , Lorna served as an elementary teacher, a divisional lead teacher, Facilitator, Coordinator, Director of Student Learning Services with Livingstone Range School Division and Coordinator of Inclusive Services with Wolf Creek Public Schools.
